Screen Mirroring

Welcome to your smart home equipped with the latest technology for your convenience and entertainment! Across the house, you'll find Samsung Smart TVs strategically located in key areas: the yoga/gym, living room, and master bedroom. These TVs are designed to enhance your experience, whether you're looking to relax, exercise, or enjoy a movie night. Specifically, in the yoga/gym area, you can easily stream workouts directly from your laptop or phone onto the gym's TV, ensuring a seamless fitness experience right at home. Here's how you can mirror whatever you have on your phone or laptop onto any of the house's Samsung Smart TVs:

For Android Devices:

Enable Screen Mirroring on Samsung TV:

  • Go to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Device Connect Manager > Access Notification and turn it on.

  • Also, check the Screen Mirroring settings under Sources or similar menus, depending on your TV model.

Use Built-in Mirroring Feature:

  • Swipe down from the top of your Android device to access the Quick Settings panel.

  • Look for a button labeled Smart View, Screen Mirroring, Cast, or similar. This might vary depending on the device manufacturer.

  • Tap it and select your Samsung TV from the list of available devices.

For iOS Devices (using AirPlay):

Ensure AirPlay Compatibility:

  • Your Samsung TV should support AirPlay 2 if it's a model from 2019.

  • Ensure that both the TV and the iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Use AirPlay:

  • Open the Control Center on your iOS device.

  • Tap Screen Mirroring and select your Samsung TV from the list.

  • You might need to enter a code displayed on your TV to start mirroring.

For Windows 10/11 Computers:

Enable Screen Mirroring on Samsung TV:

  • Follow the initial step mentioned for Android devices to ensure your TV is ready to connect.

Use Project Feature:

  • Press Windows Key + P on your keyboard.

  • Click Connect to a wireless display.

  • Select your Samsung TV from the list of devices.

For macOS Computers:

Ensure AirPlay Compatibility:

  • Check that your Samsung TV supports AirPlay 2 and that both devices are on the same network.

Use AirPlay:

  • Click the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen. If you don't see it, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Displays and check the box for Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available.

  • Choose your Samsung TV from the list.

These steps should enable you to mirror your device's screen to any of the Samsung Smart TVs in the house without needing to download any additional apps. However, compatibility and availability may vary depending on the specific model of your device and TV.
